Over 90% of all consumers start their home search online, but the vast majority of home buyers ultimately ask their friends, family or co-workers for a referral when selecting a Realtor. Unfortunately when asked to give a referral most people might remember your name, but don’t remember what company you’re with or know how to contract you. How would you like to fix that with an easy solution? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a way you could stay in constant contact effortlessly with tools you already have or access to for free?

Many Realtors add their client’s name and new home address to their Christmas card list and that’s great, but what if someone ask your client who they should use to buy a home months or years after they close on their home purchase. Do you really think they kept your card; added you to their contact list on their gmail; or added you to the IPhone? Probably not.

The best way to remain in contact with your clients is to create an informative real estate blog and request everyone you know and meet to subscribe to your blog. Blogs are today Business Cards, so why are you still handing the last century’s of staying in contact with previous, current and potential clients?

It’s probably because many of us aren’t sure how to create a quality real estate blog or if we do the next question is how to keep it current without devoting a lot time creating informatative topics. So we push on with a years of out dated communication techiques by simply handing out business cards. I’m not saying cards aren’t important, but it’s 2012. Wouldn’t it be nice to upgrade and have some friendly support?
